1) Can I install the software without needing the services of Masterware?
Yes. PinTrackWare™ is a professional, business based software, so your IT department should have the skills necessary to install it, without needing our assistance. The database is Microsoft® SQL Server, so if you don't have this installed your IT person/company should definitely do this for you. We provide a document with detailed instructions on installation. However, if your IT person is not familiar with SQL Server installation we can assist, and also provide your IT person with information on managing it. The PinTrackWare™ software installs quite easily on workstations, once you have the Microsoft SQL server installed and the database setup. 2) What are the installation requirements?
PinTrackWare™ is Windows based and requires Microsoft® SQL Server 2005 or higher on your server or workstation. If your PC is under 2 years old you should have no problem installing and running the program. The following are the minimums for server and workstation:

- Operating System: Windows Server 2003 SP2
- Memory: 2 GB RAM
- Hard Drive Space: 2 GB Free
- Workstation:
- Processor Type: Intel Pentium IV withEM64T support
- Processor Speed: 2.0 GHz
- Operating System: Windows XP SP3
- Memory: 1 GB RAM
- Video Memory: 256 MB
- Hard Drive Space: 1 GB Free
Note that you may install SQL Server on your workstation and run it without the need for a server. This is an excellent solution for those where only one workstation is required for using the program.
3) What does PinTrackWare™ include?
You are provided with the latest version of the program. We include Microsoft SQL Server Express Edition, 32 bit, and the Managment Studio (If needed, you may also download the 64 bit version directly from Microsoft®). We include two PinTrackWare™ workstation licenses with the company license. If you need additional workstation licenses, they can be purchased separately. We also provide free email support as a part of the company license. The company license must be renewed each year, which is at a much reduced price from the original purchase price.
4) What is the purpose of the yearly license renewal?
You are given all version updates of the program, for the modules that you have purchased. We want all of our customers to have the latest version of the software. Thus any support we provide you will be for the current version. Thus any differences and problems between older versions will be eliminated. We also provide free email support as a part of the license.
5) If I do not choose to purchase the yearly license renewal, will the program still function?
You will be able to enter new, and lookup existing, data in the program and print reports. You will not be able to obtain program upgrades nor receive customer support. If at a later date, you decide you need customer support or you wish to have the latest version of the program you will be required to purchase the yearly renewal. In addition, depending upon the number of years that have lapsed, there may be additional fees to get your program and database up to the latest version.
6) What are your support fees?
Free email support is provided to those with a current company license. If you need phone support, you may purchase support units from our website. Each support unit is good for 15 minutes of support. We require you to have a minimum balance of 4 support units (1 hour of service) when you call. We do not support the program if you have let your yearly license renewal lapse, even if you still have a balance of support units.
We can also arrange for you to purchase support per incident. You will need to contact us on per incident support pricing.
