PinTrackWare: Downloads

The free trial version download is the same as the purchased version download.  So follow the steps below to get your trial version installed.

Below are listed the steps (and associated files) for installing PinTrackWare™.  The program uses Microsoft® SQL Server to store the data.  If you already have SQL Server installed and running at your facility, just download the Installation Guide (Step 1) and then skip to step 3.  Otherwise begin with Step 1 and proceed to each step, following the instructions in the Instalation Guide.

Step 1: Installation Guide

The guide is a pdf file which will provide you with step-by-step instructions for installing PinTrackware, installing SQL Server and setting up the PinTrackWare database.

Step 2: Microsoft® SQL Server

Download the Microsoft® SQL Server Setup and Microsoft® SQL Server Management Studio Setup.  If your company does not have a server with Microsoft® SQL Server, then you must download and install these two files.

Note: The SQL Server we provide in this setup is the 2005 Express Edition, 32 bit*.  The Express Edition is provided free of charge by Microsoft®.  It will allow up to 5 simultaneous users.  It also is best suited for smaller businesses or departments, as it has some database size limitation.  It is the ideal way to start with PinTrackWare™, if you do not have a SQL Server.  If later you outgrow the database you may upgrade your SQL server from Microsoft® to one of their purchase versions.  PinTrackware™ will continue to run after you upgrade.  Many of our customers will never need to upgrade from the Express Edition.

Step 3: PinTrackWare™Program:

This file includes the PinTrackWare™ application setup and also includes the PinTrackWare™ database.  When you are finished running the setup program you will be able to upload the PinTrackWare™ database onto your Microsoft® SQL Server.
